      Ishibashi Family Camp

Recently Masami and I had the opportunity to speak at Ishibashi church and (with the help of our Thursday group and our Trek Intern Liam Bull) we put together a series of short videos!  Please take the time to view the videos below.  You can either watch a short skit video or, if you have the time, you can watch the whole combined presentation at the bottom.

The story behind these short video parables goes like this...
One of them I received in a dream and the other two I received while praying.  I wrote them all down in my journal and, since they all have to do with hospitals (and since our church has lots of medical professionals) I decided to present them together in a sermon.  The church asked us to make the presentation bilingual so all of the content is in Japanese and English.

Ishibashi Kirisuto Church!
Praise Items:
  • Thank you for praying for Ishibashi family camp. We praise God that a lot of laughs were shared by all!  We thank God that He brought Sola's friend, Mao, and his family to the camp.  Please pray that they will continue to have curiosity towards Jesus and will know Him soon. 
  •  Thank you for praying for Mitome and others at  English Bible Cafe. We praise God that He brought many young people to the cafe last week. Please pray that these young people will know their creator in the days of their youth. 
  • Thank you for praying for our baby Hana through foster care. We thank God that she is a VERY happy and healthy 4 month old! 
Prayer Requests
  •  Oct. 3rd MB Japan Pastors Meeting. Pray for unity in Christ, fresh vision from God.
  • Oct. 7th Multiply Japan get together
  • Oct 8th. We will have our first monthly parenting class at Ishibashi Church. We are praying that this will be the next step for young mums that have been coming to Mum& Baby club (Lamb Lamb) to get to know Jesus. 
  • Oct. 11th Bible Café 
  • Oct. 13th to 27th  We will travel to Thailand for Multiply Asia get together and our family vacation time. 
  •  For Thu. Dinner group, pray that each week as we gather we will not just feed the tummy but our spirits will be fed.

God made us in His own image and likeness (Gen 1:26), and this allows us to connect with Him in complex, intimate, and deeply personal ways. News from Japan!        Due to formatting issues, some pictures were omitted.   Doris Goertz “ So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6 Baptism July 28, 2019 was a special day as four new believers were baptized in Amagasaki church. What a blessing it was to hear their testimonies and see them declare their faith in Jesus. My 74- year-old English student, Tsuyoshi, invited his two sons and their families to witness this special occasion in his life and they all came. Along with Tsuyoshi, three women were also baptized. As I listened to their testimonies, I was encouraged by the way that God deals with each individual very personally and draws them to himself in unique ways.
