Roommate(s)

I find it amazing at how the Lord works in our lives and how He puts things together, sometimes in small
practical ways, and other times in life changing dramatic ways! Oftentimes it is hard to pinpoint exactly
how He is working until some time has passed and we have had a chance to reflect. This fall is one of
those times for me, to reflect on what God has done in, through and around me this past year. I would
encourage anyone to do the same!

One of the most current ways that God has put something together is how Terri and I came to have a
new roommate this week!...

This summer we spoke at two summer camps in Saskatchewan (I wrote a reflection before we headed
to camps back in the July “On The Way” if you want a refresher). At one of the camps we met a young
couple from Ontario who were working in SK for the summer and planning on getting married in the fall.
It was great to meet them and have some good conversations but after our week at camp we didn’t know
the next time we would see them. God did! Within a couple weeks of being at camp we heard that they
were looking for places to live in Saskatoon until their wedding, and since we have a spare bedroom in
our basement we offered it as an option.

Amy has only been living with us for a few days so far but it has already been life giving to share life with
her and her fiance Gage during his frequent visits. Our four kids have almost instantly adapted to their
presence, like they were just another aunt and uncle. We laugh about the kids’ antics and personalities
together, and we are starting to share more of our stories with each other, it is great! God certainly does
have an amazing way of putting things together.
