Adrienne & Jeremy are returning to Canada this spring for their home assignment.  MINA (Ministry in North America) is a time of rest, relationship and resourcing and they intend to use it for just that.  The Penners have plans to speak all over North America so watch for them in spring and summer.  You won't want to miss these opportunities to hear what's happening in Myanmar.  Here's a little taste of one of the many things they have participated and witnessed:


"Among those invited was a sweet auntie who God was in the process of drawing to Himself.

As our leaders shared with the auntie about the upcoming kids
club, she began to open up about some of the health problems she
was dealing with. Su shared with her that they believed in a God
who could heal and asked if they could pray for her. The auntie
quickly agreed, even though she knew nothing of this god they
spoke of. As Su, Htoo and Aung Phyo prayed over her, she was
healed! The auntie could hardly believe it! Who was this god that
had that kind of power? And why did this god care about her and
her health?

Wanting to know more she brought her son to the Ko Pho kids club
that following Saturday. Full of gratitude to god that healed her, she even brought an offering for the church. She then sat with her son and listened to the story of David and Goliath, again hearing of a god who gives His people victory. She felt in her heart that this was a god she wanted to know.
In church that very next Sunday, the auntie chose to give her life to
Jesus! There also happened to be a big baptism celebration that
very afternoon. Full of newfound hope and freedom, the auntie
boldly announced that she would also like to be baptized! What an
amazing celebration. 

God had been pursuing her heart for a long time, and now she's pursuing Him."

News from Japan!        Due to formatting issues, some pictures were omitted.   Doris Goertz “ So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6 Baptism July 28, 2019 was a special day as four new believers were baptized in Amagasaki church. What a blessing it was to hear their testimonies and see them declare their faith in Jesus. My 74- year-old English student, Tsuyoshi, invited his two sons and their families to witness this special occasion in his life and they all came. Along with Tsuyoshi, three women were also baptized. As I listened to their testimonies, I was encouraged by the way that God deals with each individual very personally and draws them to himself in unique ways.
