Gift Guide
Christmas is a time when we focus on God’s greatest gift to us - His son, Jesus. Because we have received this great gift, we ourselves are inspired to give. As God gave and loved us, we too desire to give gifts that demonstrate our love for those close to us. During this season we also often think of others who have needs that are unable to be met. It breaks our hearts to see people in these situations, and it leads us to respond in compassion. We want to help. We want to give.
As we do this however, we want to give gifts that truly make a difference. We want to be a part of the process of healing. We want to give in a way that is helpful, and in ways that would be received with joy.
So how can we help? What kind of giving is “good giving”? This Christmas we want to help provide a few of these good giving opportunities to you through the Multiply Gift Guide.
Multiply is currently serving in 65 nations around the world. In these nations we have teams positioned that prayerfully discern specific needs within local communities and plan projects that make Jesus known.
Now, in the Gift Guide, a selection of these opportunities in key ministry areas are presented to you. Each one communicates the love of God in a way that fits their cultural context and expresses the holistic nature of the Gospel message.
These opportunities range from providing phone service for a Burmese pastor, to helping evangelists travel to remote villages, to helping an Angolan widow start a small business, to providing Bible’s in Malawi. From areas of evangelism, to community development, to church planting, to caring for children, to leadership development, to providing support for missionaries, there are so many unique opportunities to give and support what God is doing around the world.
This Christmas we encourage you look through the Gift Guide, and open up your heart to God and ask him to guide you. If there is a need that especially connects with you, prayerfully consider how you might want to get involved and to invite others to do the same.
Let your heart be inspired by God’s generosity. Give, because he gave.
